About
A practice of one,
by design.
STS is a deliberately small practice serving Colorado specialty contractors that are scaling up or preparing for a transition. You work directly with the person designing the system — no account managers, no rotating bench, no handoffs to junior staff.

Background
Three trades, one craft.
The work began in financial modeling — building the forecasts and cost structures that operators rely on to make decisions under uncertainty. That discipline taught a respect for clean inputs and the cost of carrying assumptions you can't trace.
From there, fractional finance and operations engagements inside growing companies surfaced the same pattern again and again: the report was rarely the bottleneck — the system feeding it was. Double entry, versioned spreadsheets, and month-end numbers that disagreed with what the field already knew.
Application development closed the loop. Once you can build the system you wish existed — integrations, dashboards, internal tools — the boundary between "the finance work" and "the software that produces it" dissolves. STS was founded to practice all three together, for Colorado specialty contractors scaling up or preparing for a transition.
The result is a single seam between finance, operations, and technology — and quiet improvements in pricing, cash, and tax posture that follow from having one clear picture of the shop.
